Coming home to yourself
At the heart of my work is a simple belief.
Each of us carries within us an essential self that is capable of wisdom, resilience and relationship. Life can gradually draw us away from that place through trauma, loss, anxiety, difficult relationships or the demands of everyday life.
This is what I mean by coming home to yourself.
Whether we are talking together in the therapy room or working quietly alongside the horses, my intention is always the same: to offer a safe, compassionate relationship in which healing, growth and meaningful change can emerge.
I don't believe that therapy is about becoming someone different. I believe it is about becoming more fully yourself.
How I came to this work
I've always been fascinated by what helps people flourish.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working internationally in leadership and organisational development. That understanding led me into the profession of counselling and psychotherapy, where I completed postgraduate training in Psychosynthesis Counselling and have continued to develop my practice through somatic approaches and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.
Today, these different strands come together in one simple purpose: helping people reconnect with themselves.
Professional Background
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, working with adults and teens in person from my practice in rural Mid Devon and online across the UK.
Alongside my private practice, I offer Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and facilitate workshops and reflective practice groups. I receive regular clinical supervision and am committed to ongoing professional development in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
