Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy

Coming home to yourself through relationship

Sometimes, words are not enough.

Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy offers a unique opportunity to experience yourself in relationship—with a horse, with another person and, ultimately, with yourself. Working alongside horses can deepen awareness, support emotional regulation, and open new pathways for healing, growth and lasting change.

How I work

As a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I bring together Psychosynthesis, somatic awareness and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to create a safe, compassionate and individually tailored therapeutic experience.

Horses don't respond to our explanations or the stories we tell about ourselves. They respond to what is happening between us in the present moment. Working alongside them invites us to notice patterns of connection, emotion and embodied experience with curiosity and compassion, creating opportunities for awareness, healing and meaningful change.

No riding or previous horse experience is needed. Sessions take place on the ground, working at a pace that feels safe, respectful and right for you.

Healing happens not only through understanding. It happens through experience.

Referrals

Sessions

Sessions take place from my peaceful practice in rural Mid Devon.
